Lana Switzer joined the Partners for Independence program at JFCS in September 2018. As a skills trainer, she supports adults with special needs in achieving their goals for leading positive and independent lives in the community.
Lana moved to Portland from Toronto, Canada in January 2018 and has since been actively volunteering within the Jewish community. She has extensive experience working within the nonprofit sector. Before relocating to the US, Lana worked with YMCA Immigrant Services, assisting newcomers, immigrants and refugees in rebuilding meaningful and independent lives within the Greater Toronto Area.
In her personal time, Lana enjoys exploring her new hometown with her husband, going on hikes with their dog, and attending Arts and Culture events with friends.
