Kim VanKoten has been with JFCS since 2011, first serving clients directly as a Homemaker Assistant and now as the Scheduling Coordinator for the Holocaust Survivor Services program. In her role as Scheduling Coordinator, Kim is in charge of hiring and supervising our wonderful staff of Homemaker Assistants. She coordinates the home care schedule and matches clients and homemakers.
Originally from Montana, Kim received her BA in Russian Language at Lewis & Clark College here in Portland. She fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and decided to stay in Portland after college. Kim enjoys putting her language skills to good use to serve Holocaust survivors from Russia, Ukraine, and elsewhere. In her spare time Kim enjoys hiking, yoga, and watching movies.
