Phillip Gomez

Lifeline Administrative Assistant

Phil was born in Nevada and has lived in five other states, including Oregon.  Having experienced poverty and houselessness in his youth, he is driven to seek an understanding of the human condition and to fight for social and economic justice.

Some of the organizations he has worked for and been a member of include the Industrial Workers of the World, the Communications Workers of America, and – most recently – Working America, the community branch of the AFL-CIO.  He is extremely honored and excited to be a part of the Jewish Family & Child Services team as their newest Lifetime Program Assistant!

Outside of activism and working for incredible organizations, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, writing non-fiction and social sci-fi, and having his preconceptions and expectations undermined in challenging new ways.
