Kim VanKoten has been with JFCS since 2011, first serving clients directly as a Homemaker Assistant and now as the Scheduling Coordinator for the VIP Seniors and Holocaust Survivor Services program at JFCS. In her role as Scheduling Coordinator, Kim is in charge of hiring and supervising our wonderful staff of Homemaker Assistants. She coordinates the home care schedule and matches clients and Homemakers. Originally from Montana, Kim received her BA in Russian Language at Lewis & Clark College here in Portland. She fell in love with the Pacific NW and decided to stay in Portland after college. Kim enjoys putting her language skills to good use to serve Holocaust survivors from Russia, Ukraine and elsewhere. In her spare time Kim enjoys hiking, yoga and watching movies.
