FREE Job Search Support Group
Jewish Family & Child Service announces a new job search support group for individuals of all ages who have been laid off or are looking for work.
Thursdays, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
for seven weeks
August 6 to September 17
Topics include:
• Regaining your emotional balance & getting mentally
prepared to start your job search.
• Dealing with expectations, frustration and anxiety.
• Managing change and transition, getting organized
and setting goals.
• Following through, keeping up the search and
your spirits.
• Identifying your skills & attributes and learning how
to talk about yourself.
• Practical support with writing resumes & cover
letters, networking, and preparing for interviews from
the JFCS Mensches in the Trenches.

In recent weeks, recruiters for Consolidated Container Co. have seen job candidates arrive up to an hour early for interviews. Other candidates have alluded to financial hardships while in the hot seat, and one person even distributed bound copies of documents describing projects he completed for past employers.
