We focus on wellness and the development of coping mechanisms and strategies to help people reach their goals and maximize their potential. Counseling can support steps toward personal growth, and making important and sometimes difficult decisions.

What kinds of issues do people work on in counseling?

Issues that are frequently addressed in counseling include: life or school transitions, disability or health concerns, marital or relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, job stress, or conflict resolution.

What can I expect from my counselor?

Our counselors are trained professionals with education and experience working with diverse populations on a variety of mental health issues. Together, you will identify issues and create a plan to make progress toward goals. Above all, you can expect to be treated with respect, compassion, and understanding.

JFCS Groups & Workshops

JFCS offers a variety of groups. These may include support, educational or therapy groups.

In response to community need, JFCS has also offers a variety of workshops. These may include stress management, wellness, healthy aging, bereavement support parenting, and disability awareness.
