We invite you to discover the caring, professional programs and services offered by JFCS.

Emergency Aid: JFCS’ safety net services include crisis counseling, care management, advocacy, referrals, help accessing community resources, food vouchers, and financial aid for housing, food, utilities, transportation, medication, clothing, and school supplies, etc.

Lifeline Senior Services: Our Lifeline program offers services for seniors and people with disabilities that enable them to remain as independent as possible while assisting them in managing anticipated life transitions. The Lifeline services include: Homemaker services, assessment, counseling, care management, workshops for adult children and consultations for seniors, people with disabilities, and their caregivers.

Holocaust Survivors: Holocaust Survivors receive specialized services including assistance in applying for reparations, our monthly Cafe Europa social program, needs assessment, emergency financial assistance, and home care subsidies for low-income survivors.

People with Disabilities:

  • Our TASK program (Treasuring, Accepting, and Supporting Kehillah {community}) promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with disabilities so they may fully participate in all aspects of Jewish life. Activities include: consultations about disability issues and resources, advocacy, informational workshops, educational programs, monthly parent support groups, social and recreational groups for parents and adults with disabilities. 
  • Partners for Independence provides state-certified support services to ensure  adults with developmental disabilities live as independently as possible. Skills trainers and behavioral consultants provide comprehensive support to help customers meet the goals they have identified on their support plans.

Counseling: Life presents challenges for all of us and occasionally we can benefit from reaching outside ourselves and our families for professional assistance in facing those personal challenges. JFCS provides high quality, confidential counseling services to individuals, couples, families and groups. We focus on wellness and the development of coping mechanisms and strategies to help people reach their goals and maximize their potential. Our counselors have expertise in senior issues, relationships, phase of life concerns, depression, anxiety, disabilities issues and other mental health concerns.

Vocational Action Network: We offer individual and group support aimed at addressing both the emotional and practical barriers to successful reemployment. We offer support with career assessment, resume and cover letter building, networking, career transitioning, skill building and creating opportunities out of career or job transitions.

Home Care Services: Sinai Family Home Services, a state certified home care agency provides in-home personal care for seniors and people with disabilities enabling them to continue to live in the community for as long as possible.  Compassionate staff and caregivers provide assistance with bathing, transferring to ensure safe mobility and medication administration.
